ZARR, Marvyn It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marvyn Zarr on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, after a very courageous battle. Beloved husband and soulmate of Cynthia Herbert. Father and father-in-law of Larry and Nancy, and Karen Zarr. Stepfather of Karen and Michael Perl, Helena and Stewart Schaefer, Jonathan and Alicia Levitt. Adored grandfather of Ali and Dylan; Joey-Lily and Nate; Zachary, Ethan and Maegan; Sabrina, Josh and Taylor; Lucas and Noa. Son of the late Lillian Fainer and the late Harry Zarr. Dear brother-in-law of Marty and the late Marcia Kaplan. Special uncle of Heidi and Jeff Solomon, and Misha. Sadly mourned by his family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Jason Agulnik and nurse Robin, Dr. Norman Wolkove, Dr. Golda Tradounsky, and the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care at Mount Sinai Hospital for their care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 21 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 15 Alouette St., D.D.O., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
