Peacefully, in her one-hundredth year, on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Moe. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Judy and Mike Brandspigel, and Frank Winstan (Laura). Cherished Bubby of Mimi Brandspigel (Lily), Debrah and Larry Berman, Steven and Loretta Brandspigel. Proud great-grandmother of Brandon, Taylor and Jordyn Berman, and Adam Brandspigel. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Rose and the late Ben Fagen, Molly and the late Moe Rapchik, Freda and the late Aaron Baylin, the late Jean and the late Frank Clenman, the late Cele and the late Jack Gellis, the late Mike and the late Mary Steinberg, the late Ethel and the late Bill Shusterman, the late Wolfe and the late Rose Steinberg, and sister-in-law of Ethel and the late Abe Siver, Rose and the late Ike Winstan. Sophie will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and all who knew her. The family would like to thank her caregiver Marisela, for her love and devoted care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shaare Zion Congregation Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva private.
