COHEN, Rochelle Diana (nee Mirsky). On Monday, November 3, 2008. Beloved wife of Rabbi Maurice Cohen. Loving and supportive parent to her daughter Dr. Aviva Cohen, and son Dr. Raphael Cohen (Dr. Andrea Cohen). Adoring grandmother of Dr. Micah Cohen and Dr. Arielle Friedman (Gregory). Predeceased by her brother and three sisters. Rochelle was a graduate of Radcliffe College and McGill University School of Social Work. A progressive Rebbitzen in Montreal for over forty years, she was also a valued and respected social worker at the Jewish General Hospital, Jewish Convalescent Hospital, and the Department of Indian and Eskimo Affairs. A native Bostonian who made a loving Jewish home in her adopted city, she was a true Eshet Chayil. Funeral service at Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Tuesday, November 4 at 1 p.m. Shiva at Manoir Montefiore, 5885 Cavendish Blvd., Cote St. Luc, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Group (A.G.I.), (514)485-7233. |
