BASSEL, Hilda (nee Tucker). Peacefully in her ninety-first year on Saturday, October 19, 2002. Wife of the late Samuel Bassel. Beloved mother of Bob Bassel and the late Gloria Auerbach and mother-in-law of Shirley Bassel, Rabbi David Auerbach and the late Helen Bassel. Cherished Grandmother of Rhonda and Allan Duby, Jackie and Michael Flatt, Lorne and Danielle Bassel, Cindy and Jeff Brown, Linda and Barry Samberg, Liane and Mark Eklove, Jonathan Auerbach, Jennifer and Brian Flansburg. Loving great-grandmother of sixteen. Dear sister of Ben Tucker. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Louis Tucker, Sadie Lapedis, Fannie Gillman, Isidore Tucker, and Sally Silverman. Fondly remembered by her many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Lydia and the staff of the Waldorf for their care and compassion.
