BACAL, Gertrude (nee Schwartz)
In Ottawa, In her one hundred and second year on Friday November 21, 2014. Wife of the late Sydney Bacal. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Murray Bacal, Ellen Bacal and Mel Segal. Cherished "Granny" of Phillip and Andrea Segal, David Segal and Emily Ferreira, Charles and Lila Segal. Loving "GG" of Jeremy and Simon Segal; Sofia and Hailey Segal; Juliette Segal. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Sylvia and Moe Raff, Abe Schwartz, Becky and Harry Bacal, Aaron and Sarah Schwartz, Ellie and Jack Hymes, Harry and Joan Schwartz, Ruth and Harold Lehrer. Special thanks to her private caregivers and the staff of Hillel Lodge, Ottawa. Graveside service on Monday, November 24 at 11 am at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at her daughter's home in Ottawa.
