GEIGER, Rita (née Brownstein) On Monday, April 2, 2018, on her eighty-sixth birthday. Beloved wife of Leo Geiger. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Eileen and Fred Cohen, Mina and Mark Richman, Gilla Geiger and Kenny Grover. Cherished Bubby of Stacey and Shaun Segal, Mindy and Bianca Cohen, Josh Richman and Chelsey Schwartz, Matthew Richman and Tamara Powell, Jacob Grover, and Emma Grover. Proud great-grandmother of Cole, Ava, Aiden and Liv. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Irma and the late Shama Greenberg; and sister-in-law of Benny and Annette Geiger, the late Rose and the late Harold Paull. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses who took care of Rita, and her family, in the ICU at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 4111 Harvard, Montreal. Due to the festival of Passover, shiva commences Sunday, April 8.
