TAUB, Gitta (nee Ruttner). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gitta Ruttner Taub on Monday, November 7, 2005, at the age of seventy-nine. Through her sixty years of devotion to her beloved husband, Zwi Taub, she demonstrated intense loving and caring which she also lavished generously on her brother, Shlomo Ruttner; her children Hillel and Julie Taub, Eva and Elliott Newman, Sarah and Steve Eldridge; her grandchildren Brendan, Tara, Tamara, Nadine, Erin, Mandy and Sean; her great-grandchildren Jessica and Caroline; and sister-in-law of Olga Perlmutter and dear aunt of Joe and Tommy Perlmutter and their families. A true survivor and fighter, Gitta's history transcends the flames and horrors of the Holocaust. Her indomitable spirit overcame her physical limitations as she daily affirmed commitment to life. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Anna and Maria Gionis for their loving and attentive care through Gitta's last years. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Tuesday, November 8 at 2 p.m. Burial at Congregation Beth Zion Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Donations in memory of Gitta Taub may be made to the Canadian Magen David Adom for Israel, 514-731-4400. |
