SHUSTER, Toba
Peacefully, in Ottawa, on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the age 102. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Nathan, a long-time City Counsellor of Cote Saint-Luc. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Sol Shuster and Shayna Shuster (nee Hubscher), Schoel Shuster and Lynda Perry. Cherished grandmother of Corey and Yaron-Gill Shuster, Jordannah and Russell Korus, Seth and Twila Burgoyne, Tara, and Sonya. Proud great-grandmother of Noam, Ronen, Matti and Mikayla. Predeceased by her brothers, Seymour, Max, Howard, and Allan Fargeon. Uncle Nat and Auntie Toba owned and ran Camp Ma-Ka-Bee at Trout Lake, Quebec for 29 years. Toba later worked for The Suburban newspaper, retiring at the age of 84. Active in the Sisterhood of Adath Israel and Beth Zion synagogues in Montreal, a creative fundraiser and knitter, and a wise counselor. Special thanks to her caregivers and the staff at Hillel Lodge in Ottawa. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, December 27 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva private.
