GOODMAN, Harold On Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the age of eighty-three. Dearly beloved husband for fifty-three years of Ruth (Gray) Goodman. Caring and devoted father and father-in-law of David and Linda Hittner, Penny and Howard Bishansky of Toronto, Francine and Jean-Philippe Hechel of Zurich, Switzerland. Loving grandfather of Jaimee, Dana and Jared Goodman; Samara, and Michael Bishansky; Ari, Liora and Rina Hechel. Predeceased by his dear siblings and their spouses, Rita and Charlie Podlone, Claire Goodman, Sonny (Jules) and Bunny Goodman, Edith and Harry Mindel. Special thanks to our devoted and gentle caregiver Uri Saakian, who won Harold's confidence and added years to his life. The family would like to thank Dr. Serge Gauthier his exceptional neurologist, Dr. Serge Carrier and remarkable nurse Isabelle of the Jewish General Hospital Urology Department for improving his quality of life. Many thanks to the exceptional staff of 6 South at Maimonides Hospital for keeping him comfortable. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, February 13 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
