GOLDEN, Sydney
Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in Montreal. Beloved husband of Myrna Tobin for fifty-two years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Marty Golden, Lorne Golden and Heather Goldsmith, Elissa Golden and Tommy Ning. Proud and loving Zaidy of Owen, Liam, and Camryn. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Fay and Sam Rosen, Ruth and the late Alan Golden. Brother-in-law of Sylvia and Gunther Stranz, the late Max and the late Faygie Tobin. Syd will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank all of his caregivers, notably Mohammad, the Complete Care staff, and the doctors, nurses and staff of 3rd floor at the Mount Sinai Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Friday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 6785 Korczak Cres., C.S.L., Friday following burial until 4:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. Due to the advent of Yom Kippur, shiva ends Tuesday afternoon.
