It is with immense sadness the family of Ruth Mandel announces her passing on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with her family by her side. Beloved wife and soulmate of Joe Elfassy. Caring mother of Gabrielle, and Jordana. Cherished daughter of David Mark and Sonia Mandel. As a pediatrician at St. Mary’s and the Jewish General Hospitals, she had an immeasurable impact on her many patients and they families. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, felines, colleagues, and all who knew her. Special thanks to the caring staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their compassion and kindness.
