It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Shimon Aviel announces his passing on Monday, February 15, 2021. Beloved husband of Tova Piron for fifty-one years. Cherished father of Yossi, Ayala and Shira. Adored Saba of Sarah and Ethan. Dear son of Yaffa Birkan and the late Itzchak Aviel. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Shalom and Sefi Saltzman, Shifra and Yakov Debak; and brother-in-law of Yakov and Rivkah Piron, the late Orna Piron (Rb. Shlomo Shefer). Shimon was known for his scholarly work at Herzliah High School and his entrepreneurship as a talent agent at Aviel Talent. He shared a passion for law and the performing arts. He smiled on as he witnessed others, who shared his passion, go on to forge successful careers in these fields. Yet his greatest pride and joy were his two grandchildren who simply adored him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Private graveside service on Tuesday, February 16. Zoom link to be announced.
