Obituary | It is with great pain and sadness that Ben "Leader of Men" Perlman has left us on Sunday, May 9, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 39. His bravery and stoicism spoke volumes of who he was as a person. Ben, first and foremost was a father to his beloved children, Jacob, Victoria and Mila and dedicated husband to his loving wife, Jessica Sinyor. Ben was much more to many people of all walks of life. A friend of deep compassion and generosity that many revered for his standout character and unselfish nature. Son to Annette and the late Dr. Robert Perlman and son-in-law to Rachel and Ernest Sinyor. He will be missed by his sister-in-law, Shana Rotstein, and his many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Ben was a warrior in arms for all who knew him, but a dearest brother to David, whom he cherished and worked alongside with for 10 years. Even as the younger brother, Ben could find ways to carry the family torch in times of need or ride to the rescue with a battalion of hilarious impersonations that would cue an encore performance every time.
Ben was a lover of nature and sports, especially his beloved Habs, but he was known for his intensity in everything he applied himself to and his deft trading skills. His hustle and drive will be sorely missed by all his coworkers and clients. Anyone who had Ben in their life was better for it. He will leave a huge void in our lives. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Maison Saint Raphael, (514) 736-2001 or visit https://maisonstraphael.org/faire-un-don/ and/or the "Benjamin Perlman Memorial Fund for Cancer Research" c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251. A private graveside service will take place. Shiva is strictly private. |
