Peacefully, on January 1, 2020, in her eighty-ninth year. Beloved wife of the late Erno Moishe Czik. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Lea Tenzer, Giselle and the late Steve Czik. Cherished ‘Sita’ of Ari, Ronnie and Audrey, Ricky and Jillian, Lisa, and Cory. Proud great-grandmother of Harper Eryn, Isaac Ehrno, and Vera. Dear sister of the late Rachel, the late Ada, the late Haim, Anna, Margaret, and Ezra (Sandy). Special aunt of Karen Belisowski. Sima will be sadly missed by her many other nieces and nephews, her family and all those whose lives she touched. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Kastner Pavilion at the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their care and compassion, which helped Sima maintain her dignity in her final years. Special thanks to her caregivers, Salome, Adela, Donna and Lauretta, for their love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 3 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Lea’s home through Sunday evening.
