MELAMED, Cynthia (nee Cooper) After a long battle and a courageous fight, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Beloved wife of Saul for fifty-nine years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Heather and Jonny Cohn, Natalie and Jeffrey Grostern, Derek and Dawn Melamed. Loving Bubby of Shawn and Farryn Cohn, Matthew Cohn and fiancee Sofia; Jessica, and Emily Grostern; Lauren, and Joshua Melamed. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Leona and the late Eric Safran, and sister-in-law of Morris and Leah Melamed, Mona and Lenny Wolman. Cynthia will be missed by her family and many friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Lourdes, Ampie and all of Cynthia's caregivers, as well as doctors and wonderful staff of Palliative care Unit at the Mount Sinai Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter Natalie's home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
