Obituary LETOVSKY, Nathan September 16, 1925 - April 28, 2014 On Monday, April 28, 2014. Beloved husband of Lillian (Leah) Simpson, and the late Judith Levitan. Loving father and father-in-law of Robert Letovsky and Sheila Stober of Jericho, Vermont, and Constance Letovsky Hoffman. Cherished grandfather of Erin and Tom, Daniel, Levy and Heidi, Chaya, Goldie, Schneur Zalman, Schmuel, Menachem and Samantha, Rivkie, Sholom, Devorah and Yehudis. Proud great-grandfather of Noah. Brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy and the late Jack Letovsky, and predeceased by his other siblings and their spouses, Edward Letovsky, Fannie and Rubin Bitensky, Katie and Philip Shtull, Bessie Segal, Eva and Abraham Morris, Sarah and Sam Walsh. He will be missed by Sonia and Zalman, stepchildren, Bill and Eva, Brian and Judah; and their children, Sarah, Miriam, Mikayla and Sonny; as well as by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Nathan began his business career in the family butcher shop and transformed it into one of Canada's largest meat importers. In 1972, he sold the company to pursue his lifetime passion in art. He studied at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, then at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. During his long career as an artist, he worked out of his studios in Old Montreal and Ste. Agathe to produce hundreds of paintings - primarily landscape scenes of the Laurentians and abstracts. Nathan held numerous shows over the years in and around Montreal and Ottawa. His works can be found in residences as well as offices and boardrooms across Quebec and Ontario. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, April 30 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation, de la Savane. Shiva at 6635 Mackle Rd. #606, C.S.L., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily, through Sunday evening.
