BELFER, Jerry Peacefully, after a courageous battle, on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Son of the late Louis and the late Becky. Devoted husband and best friend of Gyongyi and love of her life. Loving father and father-in-law of Randi, Stephen and Andrea. Cherished Zaidie of Evan and Harley. Treasured brother and brother-in-law of Shirley and the late Alec Axler, and brother-in-law of the late Marika and the late David Ainley. Dear uncle of Vicky and Mark Ainley; Lori and Darrel Axler. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Jean Bourbeau and nurse Isabelle Drouin at the Montreal Chest Institute, Dr. Arthur Rosenberg, Dr. Nathalie Saad and Dr. April Shamy at the Jewish General Hospital, and special thanks to Dr. Golda Tradounsky and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Mount Sinai Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion. Heartfelt appreciation to the staff of CLSC Rene Cassin and the Victorian Order of Nurses. A special thank you to Colin.
