NACHMAN, Manfred Peacefully, in Toronto, on Thursday, July 23, 2009. Born June 27, 1923, in Cernauti, Romania. Beloved husband of the late Rodica (1994). Dear father and father-in-law of Adrian and Rimona, and Dany and Kiyomi. Cherished grandfather of Emil, Alex, Jessica, David. Dear brother of Kurt and uncle of Joseph. Distinguished half-century career of university teaching, including twenty-one years at Ecole Polytechnique (Montreal), and research in atomic physics and microwave plasmas. He will be sadly missed by all of those whose lives he touched and will be loved forever. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Sunday, July 26 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Victorian Extension Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva in the evenings at 23 Rose Park Drive, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
