Obituary RUBINSKI, Helene (née Deutschmann) May 1, 1931 – June 8, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helene Deutschmann Rubinski on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the age of eighty-six. Devoted wife of the late Chaim. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Gina, Peter and Melanie. Cherished Bubby of Justin. Dear sister of Gucia Meitlis of Israel. A Holocaust-Auschwitz survivor, Helene faced her illness with incredible strength, courage, integrity, hope and grace. She will be deeply and forever missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Walter Gotlieb, Dr. Golda Tradounsky, Nancy Drummond, the Mount Sinai Palliative care team, the CLSC René-Cassin homecare team, Mirka Grzeskowiak and to all those not mentioned who provided the exceptional care and compassion she received throughout her illness. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Friday, June 9 at 12:00 noon. Burial at Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her residence from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., ending Wednesday evening, June 14.
