GURMAN, Jack. Suddenly, on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at the age of seventy-nine. Beloved husband and best friend of Zelda Fellen for fifty-six years. Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Rickie and Bernie Backman, Marvin and Lisa Gurman, Jon and Joanne Gurman. Cherished "Pa" and "Grandpa" of Cara and David Perlis, Lisa and Tal, and Les; Chad, Chase and Olivia; Cole and Raquel. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sam and Sheila Gurman, Molly and the late Jack Karachinsky, Zelda and the late Jack Singer, Edith and the late Morris Gurman, the late Lilly and the late Abie Friedman, the late Harry and the late Sonia Gurman. Brother-in-law of Frances Green, Dena Fellen and Joe Segal, Doreen and Seymour Sthal, Jeff and Marlene Fellen. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, dear friends, business associates and colleagues. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons took place on Thursday, October 30. Burial the Zichrom Kedoshim Congregation Cemetery, Beth Israel and Samuel Section, De la Savane. Shiva private, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
