SWEIBEL, Isaie With courage and determination, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in his ninety-first year. Beloved husband of Chana Freger for sixty-nine years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Sydney and Tronny, and the late Simon. Cherished grandfather of Mitchell Sweibel, Carina Sweibel and Rod Leider, and Morgan Sweibel. Predeceased by his siblings, who perished in the Holocaust. Brother-in-law of Rose and the late Sam Freger, Toby and the late Alex Litwin of New York, the late Jack and the late Elaine Freger. Dear uncle of Stewart and Charlene Freger, Paul and Pam Freger, Elliot and Barbara Freger, Sam and Lorrain Litwin, Dr. Laurie Litwin, and the late Dr. Edward Litwin. The family would like express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Brian Blicher and Dr. Rubin Becker, Isaie's devoted caregivers, Heidi, Vicky and Lisa, and to the doctors, nurses and staff of 5 South at St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Zichron Kedoshim Congregation Cemetery, Beth Israel & Samuel Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his son's home, Friday following burial and Saturday to Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
