GALLER, Henry. At home in Toronto, on Friday, December 10, 2004, at the age of eighty-one years. Born in pre-war Poland to his beloved mother Sophie and father Berl, they survived together with younger brother Mark and came to Canada as refugees in 1948. Soon after, he married his fiancee the late Rosalyn (Shoshana), a Holocaust survivor, and raised a daughter Jayne and Bob, and a son Michael and Kayoko in Montreal. In Canada, Henry distinguished himself as a prizewinning chartered accountant and an entrepreneur, eventually building a national enterprise and an international coterie of admiring colleagues and devoted friends. He was respected and loved for his frankness, his honesty, his good humoured nature, and generosity to all. He will be forever missed by his second wife, Barbara, his children, his four grandchildren, Emmie Rose, Jonathan, Joanna, and Michael, his brother, and all whose lives he touched in his special way. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W., on Monday, December 13, at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Independant Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5596 Castle Wood Ave., C.S.L., Monday; continuing on Tuesday at 174 Old Forest Hill Road, Toronto.
