COHN, Ethel (nee Cohen) With courage and dignity, on Monday, July 1, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Moe. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Ann and Nat Goldberg, Leona and Gerry Phillips. Cherished grandmother of Lynn and Freddie Wildman; Aline Phillips, Erica and Glenn Posner. Proud "Great-Grandma Ethel" of Jake, and Sam Wexler; Evan, and Molly Posner. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Lilian and Raymond Rottenberg, Albert Conroy, Irving and Gertrude Conroy, Alice and Dave Ginsberg, Gertie and Ernie Besner, as well as by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Esther and Louis Lubarsky, Lillian and Dave Lauer. Sister-in-law of Pauline Shubert, and Mary Conroy. Ethel will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Wednesday, July 3 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily. Donations in her memory may be made to the Arthritis Society of Canada, (514) 846-8840. Ethel lived her life with determination and gentle grace. |
