CHERRY, Edward Ray Peacefully, with dignity, after a courageous fifteen-year struggle that no one should have to endure, on Saturday, September 26, 2015, in Ottawa. Loving father and father-in-law of Elana and Leslie Siegman, Jamie Cherry, and Robbie and Andrea Cherry. Cherished grandfather of Justin, Alex, Evan, Josh and Hannah Siegman; Nathan and Matthew Cherry. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Roslyn and Richard Roth. Favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered the way he used to be - generous and giving, full-of-life, savvy businessman, chic dresser, guitar and Bob Dylan enthusiast, avid canoeist, and tree house builder - by so many long-time friends, family, and business partners from all over. The family would like to thank all those who were devoted to him during his illness. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons, in Montreal on Sunday, September 27. Due to the festival of Sukkot, there will be no shiva. The family will be receiving visitors at Ruby Foo's Hotel immediately following the burial, then resuming at 3 Wolverton Crescent, Ottawa, ON K2G 4C2.
