KOENIG, William. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, in his ninety-second year. Beloved husband of Magda Friedmann for fifty-two years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Judy Koenig, Annie and Sam Yates. Cherished grandfather of Hilary Yates. Special thanks to Dr. Richardson of the Montreal General Hospital and to Ilonka, Michael, Amelia and Jenny for their unwavering care and devotion. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Friday, October 13 at 3:15 p.m. Due to the festival of Succoth, private shiva commences Sunday evening, October 15.
