KOENIG, Magda (nee Friedmann) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Magda Koenig on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at home, in her one hundred and first year. A Holocaust survivor. Beloved wife of the late William Koenig. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Judy Koenig, Annie and Sam Yates. Adoring gramma of Hilary Yates. Daughter of the late Gustav and the late Lola. Predeceased by her brother Robbie, who, together with their mother Lola, perished in the Holocaust. Magda was loved and admired by those who had the privilege of having known her. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Joyce and Raquel. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
