BARD, Paul (Pali) A Holocaust survivor. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Devoted husband of Agneta Fischer for sixty-eight years. Beloved father of the late Adela Katy Sonnenstein. Treasured grandfather of Steven and Leslie Sonnenstein. Proud and loving great-grandfather of Katie and Jack Sonnenstein. Predeceased by his brother, Steven (Istvan), who perished in the Holocaust. He will be deeply missed by Emanuel (Mendy) Sonnenstein, by his family, dear friends, and by all who had the good fortune to know him. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 3809 Draper Ave., Friday following burial through Sunday afternoon.
