RAPPAPORT, Lionel (Lyon Judah). After a courageous battle, the pillar of our family passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Son of the late Jack and the late Ray Rappaport. Devoted husband and soul mate of Frances Atkin. Most beloved and revered father and father-in-law of Derek and Sharon, Jamie and Bridget, and Buddy. Adored and adoring Zaida of Sammy, Gabby, Jonah, Jake, Matthew, and Brody. Lifelong best friend, brother and brother-in-law of Nat and the late Claire Rappaport, Vicky and Leo Steinberg. Dear brother-in-law of Judy and Leslie Simon, Evelyn and Marvin Lipstein. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Very special thanks to Dr. Martin Gyger, Dr. Michael Dworkind, Dr. Robin Billick and the entire staff of 7NW at the JGH, for their compassionate and dedicated care. Special thanks to Hope and Cope for their kindness and devotion. Funeral Service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon Street West, on Friday, November 14, at 12 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Park Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, De la Savane.
