HOLLANDER, Maria (nee Immergluck). Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away in her ninety-fifth year on Friday, December 5, 2009. She is survived by her husband Leon, daughters Ruth Cohen and Rosalind Wolfe, and seven grandchildren, Shimon, Tzivia, Shira, Menachem, Sara Leah, Yehudis and Brooke. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Maria Hollander was a profile in courage, having survived the Holocaust with a deep faith, strong convictions and the highest moral standards, which she has passed on to her children. She was devoted to the love of her life, Leon, who steadfastly focused his energies on caring for her in the last few years. She leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion and humanism, which defined her life. Funeral took place from Paperman & Sons, on Sunday, December 7. Shiva at 11615 Joseph Casavant St., Montreal.
