PESNER, Alan. On Monday, October 13, 2008. Beloved husband of Ellen Obrand. Cherished father and father-in-law of Jonathan and Orly, Stephanie and Jeremy Cymet, Gillian Pesner. Proud grandfather of David. Devoted son of Laura and the late Morty Pesner, and son-in-law of Bess and the late Moe Obrand. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Lynda and Max Fried, and brother-in-law of Leona and Eddy Jasnoch, Hersch Obrand. Adored uncle of Stuart, Gayle and Tammy Fried; Heather and Asher Tannenbaum, Ben and Maddy Tannenbaum, Rob Kape; Michael, Richard and Sam Obrand. He will be sadly mourned by his aunts, cousins and wonderful friends. Heartfelt thanks to the Stem Cell Transplant Team, 5CD at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, Dr. Geoffrey Blake at the Montreal General Hospital and Dr. April Shamy at the Jewish General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Thursday, October 16 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 48 Glenmore Rd., Hampstead.
