ROTHBART, Joseph. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at his residence. Joseph was the beloved husband and best friend of Katrina. The much loved brother and brother-in-law of Helen and the late Lou Rothbart, Michael Shannon, Edward and Susan Shannon. Most cherished and respected Uncle of Dr. Robert Rothbart, Stanley and Miriam Rothbart, Henry and Candace Shannon, Michael and Eva Shannon, David Shannon and Cecile Shannon and their extended families. For fifty-one years Joseph was the Executive Director of Mount Sinai Hospital where his dedication knew no bounds. Joseph will be remembered as a devoted husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend; but most of all for his sharp intelligence, his compassion and his love of family. He will be greatly missed and he leaves behind to those who knew him and loved him, a legacy of unforgettable memories that will live forever. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W on Sunday, August 3 at 10 a.m. Burial at the New Memorial Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane.
