BROWN, Esther (nee Torkin) On Saturday, December 19, 2009. Devoted and cherished wife of Gordie for fifty-seven years. Daughter of the late Max and the late Fagie Torkin. Beloved mother of Franceen, Sheldon and Jeffrey. Cherished Bubby of Joshua, Lindsay, Israel and Elizrah. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Rebecca and Seymour Purcell, Abie and Alice Torkin of Israel, the late Eze and the late Alice, the late Sadie and the late Morris, the late Harry, the late Jack and the late Bella, the late Sydney, the late Louie. Esther will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relative and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, December 22 at 1 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Cemetery, de la Savane.
