HOENICH, John Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, February 6, 2010, in his eighty-ninth year. John was the cherished husband for more than 60 years of Zitta Blum. Loving father and father-in-law of Judy and David, Richard and Sheila. "Grampy" of Daniel, Ben and Sarah, Adam, Gabe, Michael and Stephanie. Dearest uncle and great-uncle of Evelyn and Issie, Leslie and Robin and their children and grandchildren. Many thanks to the caring and professional staff of the emergency and 10th floor medical wing at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Our family deeply appreciates the care John received from his doctors over the last many years. Thank you to Drs. Benaroya, Carlton, and Haichin; and his wonderful caregivers Laverne, Katrina, Edna and Carmen. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, February 8 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva Private.
