DR. MIRIAM (MOSSY) PACKER On Monday, March 22, 2010. Precious and loving sister of Paul (Joan), Beatrice and Ruth. Loving aunt of Morrie (Donna), Karen (Brian) and Robert (Karen). Fondly remembered by their children: Shane, Josh, Noah, Emily, Cole and Brooke. Miriam was a respected teacher at Dawson College. She brought great joy to others through her sense of humour and her wit. Her stories and plays have appeared in a number of magazines and anthologies. She was the author of several novels and has won many awards, including the Dorothy Cameron Award and the Saidye Bronfman Award for Fiction. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, March 26 at 1 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Congregation Beth-El, 1000 Lucerne Rd. Due to the advent of Passover, shiva ends Monday, March 29. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice. |
