REMENYI, George It is with sadness that we announce the passing of George Remenyi, in Montreal on Monday, May 23, 2011, in his ninety-seventh year. Husband of the late Violet (Ibolya) Langer. Stepfather of Vera (Veronika) Kisfalvi and step-grandfather of Jacob Cowles (Lungi Tana). Brother of the late Faigy Spitzer. Brother-in-law of Irene Herskovits (Leslie) and George Langer (Ludmila). A survivor himself, he was predeceased by numerous members of his family, who perished in the Holocaust. Many thanks to the staff at Maimonides Geriatric Center, and his caregivers. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Wednesday, May 25 at 3 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the Maimonides Hospital Foundation 514-483-2121 local 2207. |
