GORDON, Eleanor (nee Shuster) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ellie Gordon, peacefully, at her home in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, February 10, 2018, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. Ellie was born and raised in Montreal, and her heart remained here during the forty-five years she spent living in the United States; she is now coming back home. She was the great love of her husband of forty-seven years, Dr. Earl Gordon. Beloved mother to her twin children, Elizabeth and Stephen. Treasured mother-in-law of Charles and Amanda. Devoted Bubbie to five grandchildren, Jane, Ethan, Ben, Jonathan, and Marielle. Cherished sister of Anne, and the late Matthew Shuster, and sister-in-law of Dr. Phil and Rosalie Gordon, and Cheryl Shuster. Loving aunt of Laurel, Elliot, Jay, and Danny. She was predeceased by her parents, Fay and Sam. Ellie had a wide range of interests and loves, including stained glass, geology, and Bruce Springsteen. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, February 14 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane.
