GROPER, Walter 1926-2009 Peacefully at home, in his eighty-third year, on Saturday, October 24, 2009 with his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, Faige Russman by his side. Walter leaves behind a legacy of love and gentleness that will be cherished by his children: Jeff and Arla (Abells), Michael and Deborah (Gutman), Ian and Elaine (Smiley), Tami and Ronnie (Dimentberg). Dear brother and brother-in-law of Shirley and the late Manny Feldman, Florence and the late Sol Cytrynbaum, Isabel and Bill Baird, Myra and Vince Ferrara, and brother-in-law of Aaron and Shirley Russman, Harry and Sylvia Russman, Molly and Julius Schachter, Normie and Frances Russman, Hymie and Mary Russman, the late Morrie and the late Bunny Russman, the late David Russman. Proud grandfather of Erin and Kylie Groper; Brandon and Dylan Groper; Corey, Tara and Noah Groper; Ryan and Evan Dimentberg. Sadly mourned by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons 3888 Jean Talon West on Monday, October 26 at 2 p.m. Burial at the King George Memorial Park Cemetery, de la savane. Shiva at 22 Grenville Ave, Westmount from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
