SMALL, Sam Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Beloved husband of Miriam Freeman for sixty-three years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Linda and Norman Gordner, Seymour Small and Joan Rachlin. Treasured and admired Zaydie of Randi and Jonathan; Kayla and Micah. Devoted brother and brother-in-law of the late Jennie and the late Ben Finestone, Leah and the late Jack Teplitsky, Gertie and the late Sam Friedman, and brother-in-law of the late Ruth and the late Louis Diamond, Phyllis and the late Joe Freeman. During his illness, Sam was cared for with extraordinary love and devotion by Vivian and Randi Cohen, to whom the family will be forever grateful. Special thanks to the staff of Lev Tov Seniors' Residence, and the staff of 5 North at the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Center. The family would also like to thank the staff of the Jewish General Hospital for their consistently outstanding care and caring. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 10 at 12 noon. Burial at the King George Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane.
