SILCOFF, Maurice Peacefully, on Monday, March 18, 2013, in his one-hundred-and-fifth year. Devoted husband of the late Beatrice. Cherished and uniquely adored father of Joel (Janice Greenberg). Beloved Zadie of Elliott (Orit Hanannia), and Mireille (Michael Kronish); and treasured Great-Zadie of Noam, Maya, Libby, and Beatrice. Maurice was loved, and will be fondly remembered by Yaffa Handel (Alan), and Alison Silcoff. Predeceased by his brother Joe, his sister Annie Rosen, his sisters-in-law Clara Silcoff, Sybil Wolff, and Lylia Zuker, brothers-in-law Louis Rosen, Ben Herman, David Wolff, William Zuker, Calman Levy, and Gerald Kaushansky. Survived and sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Toba Herman, Frances Kaushansky, Margot Levy and by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wishes to express its appreciation to the health care professionals at the Jewish General Hospital, 7th Floor NW, to the staff at the Manoir Montefiore and especially to his guardian angels, Susan, Jenny and Joy for their attention, kindness and compassion.
