BELL, Annie (nee Brownstein). With dignity, after a long and courageous battle, on Monday, February 4, 2008, in her ninetieth year. Beloved wife of the late Ben Bell. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Mona and Marvin Chankowsky, Ivan and Claire (Sigman), Frances and the late Michael Winterstein, and the late Betty Bell. Cherished grandmother of Barry Chankowsky, Allen and Karen Chankowsky (Seligman), and the late Kenny Chankowsky; Jeffrey Winterstein and Erica (Solomon), and Robbie Winterstein; Howard and Robyn Gerson, and Marla Gerson. Great-grandmother of Stephen Gerson; Ethan and Hila Chankowsky. Daughter of the late Idel and Fanny Brownstein. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Katie and the late Harry Rich, Esther and the late Mackie Miller, Yetta and the late Issie Swift. Sister-in-law of the late Morris Bell, the late Nancy and the late Ben Saibil. Very sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the entire staff of 5 South at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their compassionate care. Special appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Marilyn, Justina and Zanebu for their outstanding help, patience and devotion. Funeral Services from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West on Wednesday, February 6 at 12 noon. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, New Section, de la Savane. Shiva Private.
