GOODMAN, Evelyn (nee Mandelcorn) Peacefully and with dignity, on Saturday, July 20, 2019, in her ninety-ninth year. Devoted wife of the late Peter Goodman for sixty-four years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Marvin and the late Sharon Goodman, Sandra Goodman, Rhonda and Leslie Gal. Cherished 'Bubby Evie' of Brian Goodman and Cindy Schwartz, Robin Goodman and Ira Tessler, Jonathan Gal and Natalie Hadida, Shoshana Gal Portnoy and Aron Portnoy, Tamara Gal and Gavriel Friedman, Daniel Gal and Alison Nathaniel. Proud and adoring great-grandmother of Jacob and Matthew Tessler; Ella and Abigail Gal; Hannah, Emma and Maya Portnoy; Nava, Shira, Shlomo, Adina, Yona, Yisroel Meir and Yehoshua Friedman. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Ray and Louis Shufman, Ralph and Hattie Mandelcorn, Betty and Max Silverman, Harry and Helen Mandelcorn, Katie and Max Dickstein, Rosie and Sam Fefergrad, Molly and Moe Gurevitch. Sister-in-law of Estelle and Harry Schwartz, Bertha and the late Arthur Ofter, the late Molly and the late Burt Lester, the late Rosie and the late Maurice Tessler. Evelyn was a matriarch of her family and will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and all who knew her. The family would like to express their gratitude to Drs. Celia Nattel, Ruby Friedman, Joseph Portnoy and Elise Levinoff for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to her wonderful and devoted caregivers, Evelyn and Margie. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons on Sunday, July 21. Shiva at her daughter Rhonda's home.
