RUBIN, Rella (nee Stern) In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Rella passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children. She will be missed by her loving partner, George Friedman and his family; and by her daughters and son-in-law, Heidi and Frank, Amy and Jackie. She was a cherished Bubby of Nate and Julius; and a beloved daughter of Toby Remer, whom she adored. She will be missed by her 'girls' who kept her laughing over the years, and by Sherman Rubin and Marsha Bronfman, whom she loved as a brother and sister. Sincere thanks to Marilyn Ray, Peter Horge, the devoted staff of the CLSC, Dr. Angela Genge and her team for their outstanding care and for keeping a smile on her face. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Young Israel Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 4300 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W. #101, on Wednesday and Thursday. Beginning Friday, services in Montreal will take place at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim. Condolence calls with the family in Toronto can be made on Saturday, August 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. at 190 Howland Avenue.
