STEIN, David. With dignity and courage beyond measure on Saturday June 24, 2006 at the age of sixty-two, our wonderful David passed away at home, surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his wife of 40 years Sandra Laxer Stein whom he loved and was loved in return more than words can express. Son of the late Reva and the late Sam Stein z"l ; son-in-law of the late Bess and the late Max Laxer z"l. Beloved and adored father and father-in-law of Cheryl and Jeremy Stern, Marnie and Manny Fayer, Robbie Stein and Lauren Segal. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Alexandra, Victoria, Jordan, Sam, Ali, Sierra, Spencer, Maggie and Benjamin. Cherished brother and best friend to his sister Molly Stein, loving brother-in-law of Anita and Morty Singerman, Millie and Sonny Laxer, Harriet and Harold Laxer, Mark Laxer and Monique Laxer. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. He will be missed by Sylvia and Faye Tameta. A very special thank you to Dr. Donna Tataryn who went above and beyond the call of duty; Dr. Adrian Langleben who gave us all those precious extra years; Dr. Richard Dalfen, Dr. Howard Stuart, Dr. Benjamin Schiff, Dr. Justine Farley, Cindy Morneau and all the nursing staff at St. Mary's Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W., Monday June 26 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Congregation Young Israel of Montreal Cemetery, De la Savane. Shiva at 57 Glenmore Rd., Hampstead.
