ALPERIN, Sura (nee Merener) With courage and dignity, after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in her ninetieth year. Beloved wife of the late Usher. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Vickie and Fred Dubrovsky. Cherished Bubby of Dr. Sasha Dubrovsky (Sandie Larouche), and David Dubrovsky. Proud great-grandmother of Joshua, Zachary and Nathaniel. Sura will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Jewish General Hospital, particularly the Palliative Care Unit, for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
