BASCH, Blanka (nee Weiner) It is with great sadness that Eva, Marcel, Daniel, and Chantal (Derek) announce the passing of our beloved mother, mother-in-law and Bubby. Blanka was the childhood sweetheart and cherished wife of the late Eliezer Basch. She is also survived by niece and best friend Elizabeth Loeffler, son Sheldon Charles Basch (Wendy Gold), grandchildren Sandra (Donny Knoll), Michael, Jodi, great-grandson Etiel Ezra, and many other family members and friends. Special thanks to Marites Franco, Rose Miller, Sandy Baitel and the wonderful caregivers at Beit Chai Senior Residence. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 20 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's home, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Shiva and services Monday to Friday at her son's home in Thornhill, Ontario; morning services at 7:15 a.m., evening services at 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
