TENCER, Sonia (nee Smolnik). On Sunday, October 16, 2005 in her ninety-second year. Beloved wife of the late Leib. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Naomi, Aviva and Reuben Schnayer. Cherished Bubbie Sonia of Daniel, Jesse and Jonah Braverman, Gabriella, Leo, and Joseph Schnayer. She was predeceased by a husband, brother and many dear family members who perished in the Holocaust. Sonia will be greatly missed by Ronnie Braverman, her family, friends and all who knew her. Special thanks to all her caregivers, especially Josie, for their friendship, care and compassion. Funeral service took place from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W., on Monday, October 17, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Cemetery, de la Savane. In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Sonia and Leib Tencer Scholarship Fund c/o Jewish Peoples & Peretz Schools, 514-731-3843. We will always remember the smell of her brownies. |
