ETTINGER, Zave. After a courageous battle, on his seventy-fourth birthday, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 24, 2003. Beloved husband of Malka Chankowsky. Devoted father of Shellie, Asher, Miriam, and father-in-law of Mark Solomon. Cherished Zaidie of Aaron and Amelia Ettinger; Joshua and Adam Solomon; Anya Ettinger. Dear brother-in-law of Eunice and the late Lou Seligson, Sol and Rhoda Chankowsky, Sheila and the late Shyah Chankowsky. Loving uncle of Jeffrey Chankowsky and Heather Michelin, Shari Chankowsky and Matthew Rotholz. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the 19th Floor, Montreal General Hospital for their extraordinary care and compassion. Funeral Service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday, September 26 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Due to the onset of Rosh Hashanah there is no Shiva. The family will be receiving visitors at home Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (afternoon and evening).
