SCHARF, Chana (nee Dynbort) A Holocaust survivor. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Beloved wife of the late David Scharf. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Ruth and Avie Dunsky, Sol and Nancy, and Goldie Eva Scharf. Cherished Bubby of Phillip Dunsky and Allison Marchildon, Jessica Scharf, and Alexandra Torres. Proud 'Big Bubby' of Laïla and Amiel Dunsky. Predeceased by her sister, Mechleh and brother, Mike, and by her other siblings, Yossel, Golde, Hirsch and Azriel, who perished in the Holocaust. Chana will be sadly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. The family would like to thank Dr. Towers and the staff of the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their care and compassion. Special thanks to her dear caregivers, Elena, Lydia and Irina for their love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, May 9 at 12 noon. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Ruth's home, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
