VINEBERG, Miriam (nee Tolmatch) 1923 - 2017 Peacefully, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, in her ninety-fourth year. Survived by her daughter, Joan Podolsky, her grandchildren, Richard Podolsky, Liat Podolsky (Josh Laughren) and Poppy Vineberg; and by her great-grandson, Jack Laughren. Predeceased by her husband, Peter Vineberg, her twin sons, Ronald David and Leonard Allen Vineberg, and by her brother, Alexander Jacob Tolmatch. Cherished sister-in-law of Mary Tolmatch. Beloved aunt of Elaine Tolmatch and David Pariser, Rhona and the late Mark Levine, Donna Tolmatch and Irwin Haberman. An inspiring teacher who was much appreciated by her students in several Montreal elementary schools. Her memory will be a blessing. Heartfelt gratitude to her dear niece, Elaine, and her devoted friend, Nancy, for their loving kindness. Special thanks to the staff at the Waldorf Residence and the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, October 15 at 1:15 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane.
