KURTZ, Batia (nee Kling). Peacefully, on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at age eighty-five. Devoted and loving wife of Berek for sixty years. Adored and forever loved by her children, Annie and Menachim, Miriam and Steven, Gitta and Max. Safta will be missed by her grandchildren, Dana and Yoav, Karin and Boaz, Omer, Matthew, Jared, April and Michael, and by her great-grandchildren, Shachar, Ofek, Elat and Noya. Predeceased by her parents Chana and Mordechai, and brother Mendel, who perished in the Holocaust along with all her other relatives. Special thanks to her companion Lynn and to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and devotion. Heartfelt thanks to Marilina Passalacqua for many years of devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Sunday, April 15 at 12 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
